Our Story

No. 948 Candle Company, LLC is a family-owned business created by Josh and Shellie Hearn of Mineola, Texas. They are the proud parents of 5 children and 1 dog, Oliver. The inspiration for the company name comes from Josh's fire number with the Mineola Fire Department where he has served as a volunteer fireman since 2016. The origin of the company comes from a dream that Josh has had for years of producing a clean burning and natural hand-poured candle. Shellie left her job and started working towards making Josh's dream a reality. Their attention to detail comes from Shellie's career as a nurse and Josh's time serving in the United States Navy. They started experimenting with candles until they perfected the recipe with the help of family and friends. Together, their dream is to share their creations with all of you!
